Urge

Community Rules

Last updated: August 21, 2026

The Urge community exists for one reason: to help people quit porn and build better lives, together. These rules keep it safe. They are written to be read — please actually read them.

1. These rules are an agreement

These Community Rules apply to every community feature in the Urge iOS app — including profiles, feeds, groups, comments, reactions, direct messages, and any other place where you can post, share, or send content to other people (together, the "Community").

By creating a community profile or using any Community feature, you agree to follow these rules. They apply in addition to, and are incorporated into, the Urge Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these rules, do not use the Community.

We may update these rules at any time and for any reason, with or without notice, by posting the updated version on this page. Your continued use of the Community after an update means you accept the updated rules.

2. You must be 18 or older to create a profile

Creating a Community profile and participating in profile-gated social features — including public posts, comments, reactions, groups, and direct messages — is only for people who are at least 18 years old. By creating a profile, you represent and certify that you meet this requirement. Public browsing and age-banded Accountability access are governed separately. If we believe a profile belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or delete it without notice.

3. No sexual content. None.

Urge exists to help people quit porn. The Community must never become a source of the thing people are here to escape. The following are prohibited everywhere in the Community, including direct messages:

  • Pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit images, video, audio, or text of any kind.
  • Links, usernames, profile content, or coded references that point to sexual content.
  • Graphic or gratuitous descriptions of sexual acts or of the content you are trying to quit — including in posts framed as confessions, relapse stories, or "accountability" updates. Share your struggles without explicit detail.
  • Sexual advances, sexual roleplay, flirting, or requests for sexual contact directed at any user.

4. Zero tolerance for child exploitation

Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor — real or fictional — is absolutely prohibited. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualized depictions of minors, grooming behavior, and any attempt to contact minors for sexual purposes.

Violations result in an immediate, permanent ban. Where required or permitted by law, we will preserve the material and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement.

5. Treat people with respect

The Community is a recovery space. Do not post or send:

  • Harassment, bullying, insults, shaming, or personal attacks — including mocking someone for a relapse.
  • Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
  • Threats of violence, incitement, or glorification of violence against anyone.

6. Protect privacy — yours and everyone else’s

Never share another person’s private information (real name, photos, contact details, location, workplace, or anything else that could identify them) without their permission. "Doxxing" is grounds for an immediate ban.

Protect yourself too. Anything you post in the Community can be seen by other users, and screenshots can travel beyond the app. Do not share your own contact details, financial information, or anything you would not want public. You post at your own risk, and you should have no expectation of privacy in content you share with other users.

7. No content that encourages harm or illegal activity

Do not post or send content that:

  • Encourages, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide.
  • Promotes, facilitates, or celebrates illegal activity, including the sale of drugs or weapons.
  • Contains malware, phishing, or attempts to compromise anyone’s account or device.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, do not rely on the Community. Contact your local emergency number immediately, or in the United States call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). The Community is not monitored for emergencies and cannot provide crisis support.

8. No spam, scams, or self-promotion

The Community is not a marketplace or an audience to be farmed. Do not:

  • Post advertisements, affiliate links, referral codes, or promotions for products, services, coaching, courses, or communities.
  • Solicit money, donations, investments, or personal information from other users.
  • Run scams, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing recruitment.
  • Post repetitive, off-topic, or automated content, or operate bots or fake accounts.
  • Impersonate any person, moderator, or member of the Urge team, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

9. Peer support is not professional care

The Community is peer support: content is written by other users, not by us, and we do not review, verify, or endorse it. Nothing in the Community — and nothing in the Urge app — is medical care, mental-health care, therapy, addiction treatment, or legal, financial, or other professional advice, and no content in the Community creates a provider–patient relationship of any kind.

Other users may say things that are wrong, unhelpful, or harmful. Any reliance you place on Community content is strictly at your own risk. For advice about your health or circumstances, consult a qualified professional.

10. Moderation and enforcement

We want the Community to be safe, and we reserve broad discretion to keep it that way. We may — at any time, with or without notice, and with or without explanation — remove or restrict any content, limit any feature, or suspend or permanently terminate any account, for any violation of these rules, for behavior that harms the Community, or for any other reason we reasonably consider appropriate.

We have no obligation to monitor the Community, to store or preserve content, or to provide copies of removed content. Enforcement in one case does not obligate us to enforce identically in another. Where we believe conduct may be unlawful, we may refer it to law enforcement and cooperate with investigations.

If you see content that breaks these rules, report it with the in-app report tools, block the user, or email us at support@flowalarmclock.com. We review reports and take the action we consider appropriate, but we cannot guarantee any particular outcome or response time.

11. You are responsible for what you post

You are solely responsible for the content you post or send and for the consequences of sharing it. Only post content you created or have the right to share, and do not post content that infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, or other rights. By posting, you grant us the license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as described in the Urge Terms of Use.

The Community is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability arising from user content and from your use of, or inability to use, the Community. The limitations of liability, disclaimers, and dispute terms in the Urge Terms of Use apply to the Community.
